Izawa Akino - Senko 25-26

Finally in team Senko we have Izawa Akino (井澤 秋乃 ) a 5th Dan born 31st October 1978, she became Professional at 20 years old (through the original league method) and was rapidly promoted 2nd Dan in the same year.

Her current ELO is 2736 making her currently the #789th best player in the world.

The graph shows a decent increase to 2789 then a standard drop which occurred mainly post marriage and multiple childbirth(to another GO Professional Takanashi Seiken (9Dan). As the children have grown she has regained some of that loss but is currently plateauing at a decent level. She played in Senko last year so was well regarded enough to be re-selected and won 2 and lost 2.

Play style wise she seems to favour fighting but has been more a mid-range player of late having some difficulties against the new wave (current w/L in last 20 games is 3 wins 17 losses). In her own words,

I like a thick style [厚い棋風], so ideally building thickness to attack. Between attacking and defending, I'm an attacking type. I tried moyo games but they didn't go well, so I'm better at securing territory [地を取る方が得意].
